We have heard from so many amazing local authors that we had to come up with a way to keep track of you all!
Part of our mission at Sherwood Bookstore is to promote writing and writers, so showcasing authors from our community is very important to us.
If you’re a local author, then please use this form to let us know about your work, and so that we may consider it for our store.
Submission guidelines.
Your book is written by you, not by AI.
Ideally your book is coming soon (within a year), or has already been recently released (within a couple years).
The work has been edited, professionally printed, and the title is visible on the spine.
We would prefer to purchase your book through traditional publishers, or on Ingram. Sorry, no Amazon.
If you have had successful partnerships with other bookstores, and have a marketing plan to promote in-store sales, then be sure to tell us, that means a ton.
How to submit.
Fill out our submission form to the right (or down below on mobile). Please, no more than once every six months.
We will reach out to authors if we think that the work is a good fit for our shop.
If you don’t hear back from us, don’t fret, you’re welcome to re-submit again in six-months!
Note: We cannot accept unsolicited work in our store. We are a very small team, so we appreciate your understanding.
